Went out for a drive yesterday for about 45min the volt meter was working when I left it was reading around 15V while driving. At some point I noticed that it had dropped to 0 and does not move when the key is turned now. The car still starts and runs. Is there any simple problems with these gauges I do not know about?

check the fuseable link (there is 2 of them)at the junction box,just behind the power booster brake,on the firewall.there is two red wires,one is a 20 ga. and the other one is 16 ga. the 16 ga. wire gose to the alt. the other wire (20 ga.)runs through the firewall connector to your horn relay,Ign. switch and headlight switch. If it was me,I'de check the first wire that gose to the alt.:poke:
