So do you own an El Camino? If so what does it have in it?

Sounds like a good business, what type of final drive ratios for the 700R4's do you offer? I'd like to see something on the lines of a final drive ratio of .55 or .60 on a 200R4 or 700R4. This gives way to having a 4.10 or better without giving up economy.

1982 el camino,406, rod,l2489f/30 piston w/12 cc reverse dish, dart 215 iron 64 cc,2.05/1.60,crower hydraulic roller 286/294 114glc,performer rpm air cap 840 cfm reworked 70 thermoquad 4bbl,hooker 1 and 3/4 super comps,700r4 with ckperformance transbrake and 3200 stall 9/11 convertor, grand national rear with 3.73 gears,.best time 11.60 @116mphour.we can make just about any overdrive ratio for the 2004r,as the overdrive planetary is seperate from the compound planetary gearset.on the 700r4 it is more difficult.this is because the held and driven members are reversed in comparison with standard planetary gear mathematics.we are also making a 2.66/1.57 700r4 planet with a .6 overdrive.

I like that ride. Quick.

Now the .6 for the 700R4 is of intrest... I had thoughts of putting a T56 in my 72 Elky with a Big Block 502 or more. I wasn't sure that I could get an Awfulmatic to handel 800 or so Lb/Ft. of troque. I don't do Ford stuff so the AODs are out. Sure they are pretty dtrong but I don't care for the riggings or the name.

I like the Viper version of the T56 for both final overdrive ratios and its built to deal with 600 stock (maybe more) lb/ft or torque. But for my cruisers like my 76 nad my 80 SS I like the automatic overdrives. I'd like a bit better high gear and it sounds like you've got em. I'll be bookmarking the site.
