Hey, I just picked up mid '90's 'vette turbine wheels with rubber for an awesome price. I've seen them on 5th gen el caminos before but thought they would need spacers or something. Has anyone ever done this? If so what size spacers and studs did you use? Are spacers okay, as in will they affect durability?
They are P245/50VR16 FRONT, and P255/50VR16 REAR, and I believe they are 16x8" or 16x8.5"
They are going on a '79 el camino with stock wheel wells and a 8.5" GN 10-bolt
Any help is greatly appreciated

You're going to need wheel adaptors Wheel Adaptors (http://www.newsales.com/wheels/index.html) Any spacers more than 3/4" thick could be dangerous.

Yes you need about 4 1/2" backspacing to fit. On the front wheels you have to be careful that the wheel lip/tire sidewall doesn't interfere with the tie rod end. But you can buy wheel spacers for any backspacing evev 3" if you need it.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna ask around more and see, I got them for $100 so I can turn around and sell em for more if they dont work out. Is it possible to get longer studs? I checked what ARP has to offer but I'm not sure the length of mine.

Longer studs ainn't going to do it, you need adaptors.
