R-134 conversion is pretty simple. The only question/problem is, do you have R-12 still in the system? If so you should have it recovered and the system emptied. Buy a conversion kit that consists of all new gaskets and the new quick disconnect fittings. You can do it yourself, or if you prefer, have someone with guages do it. The setup is pretty self explanatory. Just depends on how far you want to go.
