Hi All,
I'm new here to the forum and have found some great info on
restoration and fix-up problems. Seems that there are alot of well informed
Elky owners. I have a 1978 with 350/350. I have installed headers on it and i'm having transmission linkage clearance problems. The linkage that goes to the tranny shift lever hits the top of the header on the large part of the collector. I can get it to go in the Drive position on the selector, but it won't go into D1 or D2. If anyone has had this problem or knows the fix, I could sure use your HELP.

Thanks Randy

Mine did that too. I removed the linkage and bent it just enough to clear the header. It might require an adjustment on the adj sleeve too (this is the small piece that is on the linkage that has a bolt on it).

yeah, just had my 402 and turbo400 gone through and just heating the lever and bending it in a vice works nice.
