can someone clue me in on the diff. in the conquesta and other models?
i don't me to seem dumb but i only recently picked up an 81 and i love it.parts seem to be hard to come by though.thanks

We've discussed this many times. Basically its decals. Parts for most Elkys are sometimes difficult to locate

According to the 1981 Sales Brochure the El Camino Conquista is described: "This dramatic paint treatment option features an accent color on the hood, the sides, and the lower portion of the tailgate to set off the basic body color. There are also bright paint break moldings along the pickup box and the tailgate, and bright moldings along the lower body side and over wheel openings. A Conquista decal on the tailgate and a dash nameplate complete the package."
