Probably not...but they're interesting none the less! It's called the UTEster.

I found these on another forum, linking to the Holden website. it looks like that GM's Aussie branch has all the design talent left in the corporation.

Here's another Holden concept that looks pretty cool also. It's the SST

I sort of like the first two. I think those flares look pretty good. I like those holden Trucks. I've never been a great big fan of the stationwagon.

Just saw my first Aussie produced GTO, made from a Holden Monaro, similar to the ute depicted in these pictures. It looks pretty nicely finished but quite contemporary. No retro here.
If GM decides to import the ute, I might be inclined to buy one, if they slap an El Camino label on it. Supposedly the GTO has running gear made in the US.
Today I received an '83 model El Camino. The interior is so clean it almost looks brand new, and the rest of the vehicle should look exceptionally nice with a little work. It is refreshing just sitting behind the wheel and not feeling like I am sitting in the middle of a 'project', trying to imagine what it might look like. Rust free West Coast car. Still I have no illusions that this is the answer for my desire for a 'new' one, so lets see what GM decides to do.
