that damn article twisted my little mind in way i never knew i could be confused...naw just playin, but i didnt really get much of it. i'm nto big on technichal terms...i liek it simple. o well whatever.

Both are 5-speed manual transmissions. The chart at the bottom of the article shows the gear ratios available with each model.

If you're looking to install a TKO-500/600 into your car, please note that the unit that Tremec sells will not fit your car without serious modification to the car. The 2inch offset bar will be sitting above your carpet, and require cutting of your console.

On the other hand...

All of our custom kits include the TKO-500/600, redesigned with our custom tailhousing and shifter - for EXACT shifter location WITHOUT cutting your console, or unsightly permanent modifications to your car. Our kit does require some tunnel mods, but the template and sheet metal is included with the kit for a factory appearance for either console or bucket seat applications.
