Hey guys,

looking to spend $100-$200 on a distributor for a SB 350.

Going HEI, any advice as far as:

ProForm
Taylor
Mallory
MSD
PerTronix
or Summits Brand
??????

I heard MSD gives terrible feedback in car stereo system...

Eastwoods, an advertiser here, has a great one for $99.95, and if you tell them you're on ECC (here) you get a 10% discount. win-win.

Stay away from Pro Form they went to cheap Chinese crap! MSD,Petronix or Mallory are all good. I had this one in my 70 Short Syep 350/350 and it worked great: http://www.amazon.com/MSD-8362-Street-Fire-Distributor/dp/B0012NYGDQ

I just bought the clear one from them. total was $96.75 for the distributor and 10mm plug wires shipped! The distributor was only 44 bucks and 36 for the wires! the rest was tax and shipping fees. Super sweet deal!! hopefully I get it on Friday.

I bought a Mallory a few years back when my original acted up. It was from Summit, for 139 bucks. But my original is going back on, since I found the problem, and it has all the good parts in it, now that I replaced the pickup coil, and it's already tweaked.

If my engine was stock, it would have a stock distributor in it, which is all it would need, but it ain't.......:smileyb:

I just ordered my Skip White Performance HEI distributor about 6 days ago because I heard mostly good things about them for the price. I will update what I find out. As for shipping, I ordered mine last week (6 days ago) and they FINALLY shipped it out today and I am in quite a hurry to get my car back on the road. That is my only complaint is they took forever to send it out. I wont be too picky though, as long as I get it I will be happy. :nanawrench:

You'll be very happy when you get it. I am still waiting on the two i bought the other day from him but he sells so many of them and other parts, his shipping is slow but well worth it when it is free shipping. :nanawrench::beer:

BRAND NEW in package high performance HEI electronic distributor. This is a complete billet distributor with cap, rotor, and coil. This is brand new, with absolutely no rebuilt parts. Hi-performance control module with brass terminals on the cap. Has hardened gear and a capacitor that prevents radio static. Has a vacuum advance. Any GM non-computerized vehicle with electronic ignition. Why buy a rebuilt unit when you can have a high performance unit at this price.
$50.00 plus shipping.
