i was tryin to start the elk today so i could move it to a place that i could work on it easier, i tried like heck o start it and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start! i have none of the gauges visible or else i might have noticed the lack of gas in the tank..... i eventually looked, but this was after 3 attempts to start it with ether! i really felt stupid...... :???:

yea gas is a good idea lol three attempts isnt too bad lol if its been 3 days, then thats something to be ashamed of

20 yrs. ago, my ex-wife left with the car that was paid for('74 Vega w/ Buick V-6). Kids told me that 3 weeks later she abandoned the car on the side of the road when it stopped and would not start. I had told her that the gauge never read below 1/4 full (well before she left). Sure did miss that car, it was a real runner.
