: I could use your vote - another calendar contest
PA_82Elky 04-01-2004, 02:24 PM Greetings one and all,
Here in central PA the local Auto Locator rag is having a calendar contest and they put my 82 Elky up against 3 other formidable opponents for this month's voting. Winner gets a month in the 2005 calendar. Voting must be completed by April 26th.
So, I am asking (not paying, mind you) for your support but a vote would be nice too.
I am running on the Elky Party platform and here at El Camino Central is the only campaign headquarters I can afford. I can only promise, if I win, that gas will go back to 19.9 a gallon, every generation will have every single part reproduced, and there will be an Elky in every garage.

John Harris 04-01-2004, 04:22 PM Hi Jim - Done! You got my vote. But one part of your campaign promise isn't so great --- if everyone had an Elky in their garage, then ours wouldn't be so special. Remember our motto --
"Interesting People Drive Interesting Cars"
Was everyone you saw today an "interesting" person? Bet not!
Scrubby 04-01-2004, 04:50 PM Way to Go, you got my vote. :D

Well, El Presidente, it appears I am in need of a campaign manager.....
Didn't think you guys would want the old proverbial "chicken in every pot" or was it "pot in every chicken"?? How about an Edsel in every garage! Wouldn't that rock their horse collar world!
Unfortunately the AutoLocator people don't show a running count so we won't know until the fat lady sings.
And to the hordes voting - thank you! Remember, it's not how you vote but how often!
83choochoo 04-01-2004, 05:28 PM You also got my vote, good luck!

Mine doesn't have wings - only has a 267 in it or did I leave my turn signal on again????? I'm just trying to keep it between the ditches - doing the straight and narrow, so I don't fall off the platform.
Incidentally, THANKS to all that have voted. :onfire:

Tell me about it! If my car wasn't there I would vote for the Vette. I knew from the getgo I had formidable competition. But whenever it is People's Choice voting it's not how great the car really is but how many friends you've got at the meet.
Again, thanks for the votes! Not sure how they track who voted, other than detecting an IP address which for most is not static.
Must have been the firewall at work...you got another one!
Got my vote too. now, if you'll only come thru with the 'gas price' :P
coollw 04-03-2004, 10:34 AM  One more vote for the good guys! I hope you win.
