If your original springs are worn new OEM springs should raise the front up a little. Have a spring manufacturer make you a custom spring. Use spring wedges you can find them in JC Whitney or at your local auto parts store.

Tall tires adds to the look as well. Back in the old days we used taxi cab tires along with the spring wedges metioned above. You can get the tall front drag racing tires from most all the aftermarket vendors now.

On my 70 El Camino, I changed front springs, put in 1970 454 springs from JC Whitney...Front ends stands about 4" over tire w/ the big block.
Hope this helps... :)

I did something similar. My elky came from the factory with the baby V6...so when i swapped motors, on corners the front springs weren't strong enough to keep the body off the tires with weight of it's "transplant" 350. I just put in heavy duty springs for a big block (over kill...i know) and no problems! http://www.corvetteforum.net/c4/alchemist/thumb.gif
