Iam so lucky this year, iam getting a very nice tax return, and iam (talking to the better half) about spending it on a new small block for the elky. I have been very happy with the current 383,and its been pounded on for over 3 years now,and i think its time for a new fresh build....So after some thought, the new world products 454 small block is going to see my garage soon, and the elky's fenders. Iam only going to buy the small block, its exspensive,so iam going to clean up and use my aluminum heads of the 383, my EFI set-up,a new "milder"roller cam,and new oiling system ect, ect. I have heard some major horsepower with these "crate" motors, and its built with quality parts,it should be interesting when its done.Anyway hope you all are getting decent returns back, cant wait to get started.

Well I am not getting that big of a return however it is going to be enough to pay for my 1969 Chevelle that I am hoping the person still has hoping for that phone call asking when I would like to see it and what not. Otherwise I don't know what I will do with it.

NEW RIMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's either the American Racing "torque thrust" or torque thrust D".

I can't decide it I want all shiney, or shiney and black.

Maybe I'll let the wife decide.

I'm going to look at a turbo 400 today. $500 or b/o. It has a trans breakin it. Not that I need it but if I can walk out of there with it for less than 5 I'll take it. Imagine the fun I'll have at red lights! LOL

Tax return this year is sort of going to the house but the cars will get a side benefit from them. So far I've had a 19x20 ft concrete pad put behind my garage. If a few weeks when I can drill into the pad a small 8x6 foot shed is going to be put in one corner of the pad. This will let me move all of my yard tools and few other things out of the garage and give me room to put a car in the garage to store or work on. Also I'll have enough room on the rest of the concrete pad to work on or just park a car. Also I think I have just enough from the return to buy an Epoxy paint kit to paint the garage floor when I get it cleaned out.

Lets see, where do I begin? Ordered new rear quarter panels, one door skin and two rocker panels from the ElCamino store last week. From Jegs I got dynomax headers and a duel exhaust, cross member shouls be here soon from Rick, got a turbo 350 for $200.00, oh yah and a dash cap. Now all I need to do is find out where I can order the time to get it all done and a place to do it without going to the mother out laws and using her driveway. Anyone close by have a garage for rent cheap?
