I resently bought a 78 El Camino. It has single exhaust. I'd like to install duel exhaust, but the factory transmission crossover is for a single system. Anyone know where to get one for duels ???

There has been quite a bit of discussion here about several different types. There is one for sale at www.jegs.com and another for sale at www.crossmembers.com and a third is being sold by a guy named Rick Fisher <Fisher@mo-net.com>. He sells them on ebay for $110 each.

You got plenty of choices from modifying the one you got to buying a custom made crossmember. Do a search and you will get plenty of options.

Well, I bought the one from "Iceman" and I couldn't be happier! He just had a price increase to $110 and it'still a GREAT deal. It is the best one I've seen that's available and also the cheapest in price...unless of course you buy a stock crossmember that's been modified. He usually has one for sale on Ebay under the name "pitqueen" or you can contact him through www.maliburacing.com Do a search in forums for "Iceman" there. He might also have another custom piece available soon that triangulates the front frame, it replaces the stock jounce bars with a bolt in triangular piece that is much stronger. Right now he's still very busy with making the crossmembers he sells...and he sells a lot!
