There is a show coming up for the Rye NH Lions club on september 19th, with a rain date of sept 26th. theres always a good amount of cars at this show. Im planning to attend since we just did some body work to it, not real pretty but it will pass inspetion this year and dosnt look like crap anymore. its all one color! I talked to them a few years ago, and they were willing to add a class for elcaminos if i could get at least 5 to come, but i couldnt that year. so if anyone is interested let me know. ill try to post the flyer on here, but if it -dosnt work send me an email at davidvbinder@yahoo.com and ill send it to you.

looking to hear back from you guys, havent been on in way too long, and havent been to a carshow for way to long.

Dave Binder

sorry i havent been able to pop on in a few days. got a reply about getting an elcamino class, and they cant do it, the field already has a layout, and they said they dont do special classes anymore because they would need 14 cars to register just to break even for that class, and if they did it for us, theyn they would have to do it for others that wanted it, like the fierro people, and the mg people. but i think we could take over the special interest class :) cant wait for this show, couldnt make it to the sturbridge show because we didnt have a baby sitter, but im definetly going to this one.

Based on the poll results there won't be enough to qualify for a special class even if all the "maybe's" showup. I don't want to be tied-up at the show all day therefore don't plan to enter the judging. Name a time, and allow a 15-30 minute window and I would caravan with you, depending on weather forecast. I just yesterday drove to a car show in North Conway NH and was rained out after being there only about 30 minutes. PM me if you want a cell number.

Did anyone make it to the show if they did could we get a update as to how it went and maybe some pictures.

I was planing on going but got tied up picking up my latest project, a 1950 Chevy sedan delivery. It has a 305 engine with a turbo 350 transmission, camaro rear end & a disc brake upgrade on the completly rebuit front end. There is still much to do before it will be road worthy. I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do it.

Thanks Phil

Yes, This show was great! over 270 cars attended, and at least 6 other elcaminos, other than mine. Sorry i didnt realise my camera was in my car untill the end and didnt have any batteries for it. and forgot my car charger for my phone, but i have a picture of a ferrari engine if you want to see it lol. was trying to conserve phone power since the little one was sick. but all in all it was a great show. forgot sunscreen so had a sunburn. but lots of nice cars. they ended up putting me in the 70 and up classics, and all 3 winners in the class were olds 442's. Met a couple other camino guys there, one i got talking to for a bit, but forgot his name. gave him our web address and my username so hopefully he will find me. put notes in all the caminos i could see with our web address and told them to join.
