Does anybody know of an aftermarket panel or cover that you can get for the inside of the front of the box (behind rear seats) for my '66 Elky? The whole interior is new but looking behind the seats is a little disappointing. Thanks!

None that i know of but a few members here have made a cardboard template then cut it out of plywood cover with carpet and there ya go.

The couple i have seen others here do they look real nice.

I am going to do this myself when my 71 gets out of the paint shop!

I covered my 76 back wall with carpet. I got a curtian for a 5th generation removed the snaps and insulated/sound proofed the back wall then glued the carpet onto that. Its all held in place by Contact cement and the trim around the back wall. Its the same color as the rest of the carpet and to me it looks great.

The person that owned the truck before me had some Astroturf on the back wall and flooboard held inplace by TONS of screws! I would never even get close to suggesting anyone ever do that to any vehicle. I had to weld up around 20 small holes when I was redoing the 76. I am not kidding there were at least 20 screw holes top and bottom. Cheap basterd!

On top of that it looked every bit as trashy as it sounds.

Here is what I did on my 3rd gen. I've shown this pic a few times, but hell, I like the way it came out. Even surprised myself. Some cardboard for a template, some plywood, glue, staples, and the carpet from Home Depot. Cost me maybe 30 bucks total.
Does your '66 have a rear shelf or is it a flat wall? http://levitanj.home.mindspring.com/elky/restor2/page1/rearspeaker4.jpg
