So I installed some nice dash speakers, and now I'm thinking about some 6x9s.
my stereo has RCA jacks on the back, and for the moment I don't plan on running an amp (just yet...money ya know?).

How did you guys rub the wires? only think i can think of is.. is from the stereo, underneath the front of the carpet, and out the back of the carpet.

Please let me know how you set yours up. I don't want wires visible...

I ended up with the infinity 3032cf and I'm pretty happy.
They are much louder than stock, and can handle a good amount of bass (upfront).

I didn't have to trim anything to make them fit. I used wrapped some tape around the screws under the dash speaker grill to give them a little space. fit perfectly.

They sound great...but I now I wouldn't mind a pair of 6x9s

I use the 4 way Pioneers in the back. 300 Watts max, and they can handle it! I also have Sony 3.5" up front and those are okay. Sony makes good sounding 6x9 speakers that aren't too expensive. I ran the lines near the floor shifter and center consul. I have enough crap behind my seats that I don't see the wires unless I look for them.

However, I am not sure what to do with the wires between the stereo and the floor shifter.

stupid question, but with a 3-way/4way speaker....do extra ports need to be cut into the box to get the best sound?? I'm not even sure what 3-way/4-way means, but I assume they have sound coming from different directions..

not at all if u look at the link i put on http://www.soundsgreatusa.com/catalog/pio%20TS-A6983R_pair_lrg.jpg just means how many actual speakers on the 6x9 if its a three way it has the cone which is the bass then on a rail on top of the cone it would have two tweeters of smaller speakers for highs one being a mid and one being or high. on a four way it has four speakers in all... no need to cut holes just drop in box like any other 6x9 the the one in the link is a four way has the cone then on the top rail has a mid in the middle and on each side has two lil tweeters
