I have pics and info on a beautiful crossbred El Camino. It is a 1981 El Camino with a 1950 Studebaker front end. This thing is gorgeous. I saw it at a recent car show in Monroe, Louisiana. The owner/builder lives in Shreveport, louisiana. I have posted pics and info too on my Camino Mania web site.......Here's the link to the pics.....

It looks like a well done job. I don't care for the looks but its not my truck either. I think those cheesy decal flames make it look cheap too. Such a waist of talent.

I have seen a purple studebaker/el camino here in daytona a few times. It was cool, but not my style really

I think it's neat, and you gotta credit the guy with a beautiful execution even if you don't like the looks.

THere are bolt on kits for s 10's like that. I'm sure that's what was used. They also have early ford, dodge and chevy body parts that bolt to later model vehicles.

I've seen the Studebaker - ElCamino front clip kit advertised in "Super Chevy" mag.

It's an interesting looking hybrid but I'll stick with an OEM look. I feel the same feel way about this one as I do about the 4x4 El Camino. http://elcaminocentral.com/users/elcamino/Noooo.gif

I saw several of those at the '03 Turkey Rod Run in Daytona. They are a fiberglass kit that a vendor there was selling. I remember seeing at least 3 that weekend. Honestly, I'm not too crazy about it, but if the owner likes it, more power to them. It's just not my cup of joe.
Steve84Ec, do you live in Daytona? I lived there for many years and still visit every chance I get!

He did a real nice job, but its just not my cup of tea, ill stick with the factory GM look.

It might be interesting to see how this "kit" would look on a similar vintage Monte Carlo, maybe a nice ersatz Studie coupe?

I kinna like it! I'd take it to the hardware store! http://www.corvetteforum.net/c4/alchemist/thumb.gif But you're right....it WOULD look better without the JCWhitney flames...

I was hoping it had the other Studabaker nose. Like the one Barrius put on the Batmobile, alias a Ford Furtura . It had wicked look. That and the wings. made that car.

I'd rather see the Stude "Hawk" nose on it, not the "Muppet Mobile" '50 snout on that much work.
