Instead of looking for a grille for my '74 Sprint, I was thinking of picking up some of that mesh grille material you can buy at Kragen and making one of my own. Has anyone done this, and how does it look? Can I use factory fasteners (if I even have them still), or will further modification be required to mount it?

I am doing something like that to my 80. Shouldn't be too hard to do and will probably look alright.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna do it over the next couple of days. I like the way the mesh grille looks over the stock Gen IV grille anyway, and I think it will be a good enhancement to the front end. I'll post pics when it's done.
