I think I'm obsessed. I just installed (3) fuel filters. 1 befor the fuel pump, another befor the carb, and the one in the carb. Now I want too put one at the tank, the kind that has a water seprater.

So your like wanting to restrict fuel flow? :? Its bad enough that those lines are so very tiny and restrictive your going to add more restriction and maybe make the fuel pump work harder and go out sooner. :?

Its very strange. Two is plenty. I think.

Hmmm...OCD?

The one in the carb is plenty. But, what the heck, it's your Elky.

One before the carb is enough.

You have a screen on the pickup in the fuel tank. With a mechanical pump you want one good filter after the pump, before the carb inlet. Some carbs have a fuel inlet filter, optional to leave it or take it out as it isn't necessary if you have a good inline filter. I wouldn't put any filter in line at the tank with a mechanical filter. If you have a electric pump (carburetor) install a good inline filter before the fuel pump and no filters after the pump. With fuel injection don't forget to replace the factory fuel filter regularly. Too much of a good thing is too much.

You don't need a water seperator. Modern gasoline has plenty of alcohol in it. Any water will be mixed with the gasoline. (Like adding "heet" to you gasoline.)

The in-carb filter was too restrictive for me and caused problems. Go with a good in-line before the carb if you making any decent power. Forget the rest.
