Hello all,

I am the third owner of a first gen 59 El Camino and it's been sitting in a field for the better part of it's days. Everything must be done to restore/rod it out and I need a new bench seat. I suppose I could recover the existing one but I'd prefer to replace it.

What would fit in this from a newer model vehicle? If I pull salvage benches from anything too old it will be just as ratty.

I'll preface this by saying I haven't tried to mount the frame yet but I have measured the width, height and depth of the seats and they do fit in our cars. I was telling my bugdies about having to weld in mounts for a shoulder belt and one of the guys said his truck had seat belts built into the seat itself. They have different combo's including a 60/40 split and one with a fold up center console that gives you 3 across the front but maintains the buckets for comfort.
