IS THERE A AFTER MARKET BOTTOM WINDSHIELD PLATE / COVER THAT IS THIN ENOUGH TO WHERE THE WIPER ARMS WILL PARK ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THEIR OWN ? OR HAS ANYONE MADE ANY MODIFICATIONS TO THE FACTORY SETUP WHERE THE ARMS WILL PARK ALL THE WAY DOWN ?

Hi Ray,
Sometimes you can get them down a little more by loosening the two adjusting nuts on the arm that bolts to the back of the motor than move the blade down to the stop and retighten the nuts.

The wipers on my '85 do not return to the recessed position. I assumed it was because of the aftermarket wipers? Are they supposed to? I can manually move them down until the wiper rests on stop. Someone else reply on this.

Thanks
Robby

My wipers did the same thing. I bought a set of winter blades from a small parts store, installed them and noticed they didn't park. come to find out, they were 2" too long. The sales person gave me wipers that were 18" instead of 16' and of course, I didn't find this out till it was too late to return them.
