Today I removed and replaced the turn signal switch. Boy, was it a bugger! I am going to later have to replace cruise control switch because someone has put turn lever in that hasn't got cruise control button on it. Soooo the wire from cruise switch isn't there. I'll probably have to remove that turn switch so I can feed the wire for the cruise control down through the steering column. Is there an easy way to get that turn switch out and in. I dread doing it the way I did. I figure there should be an easier way.

I tried using search to see if I could find any back post with this info. I guess I don't even know how to use the search in this forum. It came up with everything but turn signal switch.

Firstly let me suggest something, whenever asking for assistance, please tell us what year Elky you have.

I have had luck just pulling the cruise switch out and fishing a piece of mechanics wire down the column without pulling the wheel or t/s switch.

Here's an article that might help too:

Sorry about that, it's an 82. It is good to know that I can get the wire down there with out the old one to use to guide the mechanics wire with. Still would like to know of a trick to get that turn signal switch out easier, just incase I ever need to again. Others might need to know also.
