Behind both quarter windows i have a big hole where the body rusted away. Its on the lower back corner of each window. I tried to fix it but it to tight of a spot to work in and to big of a hole. Anybody else had this problem?

Here are some pics of rust i had to deal with a few months ago. ELKY FIREWALL (http://users.eonet.net/ross/toppage1.htm)

Wow, you are dedicated. If I bought a 5th Gen and it needed that much rust repair I would get another El Camino.

Well i thought it would be fun to fix and it kinda was. Definetly not for the faint of heart. Im just having trouble with these 1/4 window spots.

on Qtr. window of my 82 it has a spot that has rusted through, but the back window is where the real rust is. the entire car is being consumed by iron oxide.

Howdy

That elky doesn't even look nearly as bad as my 79 Elky. I love the thing and everyone that knows me can't believe that my elky use to be a rust bucket however a lot of sheet metal and pop rivits can just about fix anything. My elky will not win any shows however at least it gets the attention. Of coarse my elky is not done yet it still has the rust holes behind the doors and than the rust in the rear compartment and in the front fenders but nothing major. I have a couple holes that I have almost completely finished but it still looks great and can't tell that much rust unless you up are close to it but the 78 at least came from South Dakota and has no rust YES but to bad that one is have the 350 transplant so wish me luck.
