Hi, i'm new to the forum but i was wondering how i could go about replacing the "chrome" striping on the interior inside door panel of my 85 el camino.

That one is easy--contact Rick at EC Parts-----I believe a roll is $18.00----he will fill you in on how to install

Mine was half peeled off & I did not really care for the chrome look there anyway so I lightly sanded the strip. Spayed it with plastic prep & painted it gloss black. I think it goes better with the rest of the interior now .

Has anyone used this foil/tape that is talked about ? Has it stayed in place ? I tried using the chrome type from a local parts store and it does not last a couple of days and it peeled up .

I used stuff like that too, but mine stayed on and still looks great.

Go to any good craft store and buy a roll of Milar tape...same stuff, a lot cheaper.
