I'm poor, just looking for a few HP? Where should I start? New filters? Anything else?

well some flowmasters and the K&N people have horse power filters that will help a little.
that's about 25-80 $$$ worth and you could expect another ~50 or so HP depending on your set up

Along the lines of 80elcamino, make sure the engine can breath as best you can. I dont know if you need you A/C in NJ but take the belt off will help a tiny tiny bit. Same thing with the power steering.

cheap mods = little HP gain.....i know i know, lifes not fair
