I have a nearly complete 79 El Camino SS that I was going to try to save but realized its too far gone. It has a red interior but most of the plastic is rotted. Every thing else is good to fair. If you need anything let me know, I'll get pictures ASAP.

Most of the chrome is good, tailgate trim is missing, some scratches though. It had a topper on it. I'll check and see what emblems are left, I know some are missing.

now 79, is that 5th gen? I've been looking for a decent tonue cover, hard or soft.

Radio Bezel?How bad is the dash?

monkey05, I have the radio bezel. Black in color and has some scratches, not cut for aftermarket stereo. I still have thye stock AM/FM stereo in it. The dash could be repaired, it should have a cap put on it if it was going to be used. It has a couple of cracks on top and couple of other small damaged spots. BTW It is a center speaker dash, not the stereo speakers in the newer Elkys.

How about the spoiler under the front bumper? Is that OK and could it be removed and reused??

86camino&damientaylor79, The gauges are spoken for already. The only panels that are any good are the plastic dash ends, driver side kick panel, I do have a nice dark blue passenger side non computer kick panel.
The upper door panels are still fairly good, the drivers side has a couple of screws mounted through them.
The plastic passenger side trim that goes over the quarter window is still useable, but the drivers side has some rot at the front where it meets the A pillar.
Also the rear package tray under the rear window is good, and the carpet is also good.
This is what I have for the interior in good shape, everything else I have but may need some repair, paint, ect. :cool:

Sorry, The trim is broke.
The grill, bumper fillers, front bumper, licence plate bracket, windshield trim, wiper arms, hood hinges are all known to be good.

how is the tailgate? How much would you want for it?

The tailgate is useable but needs work. It has a good dent on the drivers side and the seam below the pass side hinge needs to be straightened and welded up. As is- $40, repaired and primered ready for paint $150

how much for the door hinges?
also need the turn signal arm if it had cruise control and wipers in it.

This camino doesn't have that style wipers, they were on the dash. I do have one from a later Monte, 86 I think, if I can get it off the collumn you can have it for shipping cost.
Also the door hinges are shot, you can get them from GM yet though.

how much for the little little thing at the base of the column that the gear indicator attaches 2 to show gear change

monkey05 Are you talking about the little clip with the small cable attached to it? I am pretty sure I have a spare one that I would sell. PM me for details.

That part is iffy on the collumn. if you can wait about a month I am going to swap collumns in my 86. I'm selling the collumn whole though, tilt needs to be fixed.

elky1982- Are you asking about the trim or the plastic clips that hold the trim on? I have most of the bed clips, will have to check on the rear window clips. I only have the two long pieces for the bed trim, rest is sold.
bigbranz- The lenses are pending, I'll let you know if the deal falls through.

How much for the front bumper assembly including the impact absorbers? Do you know if the '79 bumper is identical to a '78 bumper?

scweeks, The front bumper has been sold. I still have the bumper shocks though.
mathew, The tailgate I have has a fairly large dent on the outside skin and the mechanism to release the latches needs to be replaced.

Still have:
Black bench seatbelts, some normal wear.

Red passenger side headrest , for bench seat, nice shape

Center speaker for the dash, worked good before I pulled the radio

Dash wiring, the radio wires have been cut, rest seems to be in good shape. For round gauges.

Headlight harness.

Washer jug.

Brake booster and master cylinder.

Holley carb, needs rebuilt, manual choke

TH350 crossmember.

Many 229V6 parts, no intake or dist.

Black rear compartment carpet, need a real good cleaning.

I will trade some parts for good (little to no rot) 2 tone trim for my 86 Elky, mainly the wheel arches.
