Hello Hello, stopping by just to check out the site, maybe try and find my self another elky. I am 19, and currently enrolled in school to be a paramedic-fire fighter. I want to find myself another el camino because I really miss mine (you will understand better later). Right now my Buick and I are at ends with each other and I just want to park her until I can afford to fix all the problems (I have gone though 6 or 7 transmissions, I have lost count, the motor has a knock.. blah blah blah) so I want to park the GN and get an elky with a 4.3 six banger in it so it can get decent gas mileage. Since I have been out of el caminos for a couple years now, how much will an '85-88 El Camino w/ 4.3L TBI motor run me? I want one that is mechanically sound, working A/C and a decent body? I am looking at ebay and public auctions trying to find one as cheap as possible. hopfully my summer budget will allow for another car.

'84 El Camino (http://community.webshots.com/photo/95776453/95777717JaSpyS) : Holley Aluminum heads, 2.08" 1.65", Holley high rise inake, Holley 750cfm, 10.5:1, .510/.510 290/290 Cam, 1.6 Roller Rockers, MSD 6AL MSD Billet Distribuator, 700-R4, 4.10's and a minispool.... 425hp/450tq... stolen and stripped :(

that car was my pride and joy.... but the scum of the earth wanted it more then I did. I have actually been told I suffer from post traumatic stress because of what happened to that car, I can't tell you how many times I freak out in the middle of the night, or can't sleep, or have paranoia's about my car being stolen....

'87 Buick Grand National (http://community.webshots.com/photo/95776453/95778117APPZBr) : some stuff done to it... 425rwhp/580rwtq

Anyways, I'll shut my yap for a little while, this has gotten pretty long....

Anyways, I'll shut my yap for a little while, this has gotten pretty long.... I hear about having a car stolden. So far I've lost a 1970 LS6 Chevelle and a 1973 Camero (Hot Rod) to theves. I now sleep with a loaded .50 Desert Eagle in my night stand and my El Camino and K5 Blazer are parked just outside my bedroom window.

I'm guessing they didn't catch the scum that stripped your El Camino did they? Bummer...

Very nice GN you got there! You don't think having 425 rhp has anything to do with all the transmissions you've gone through do you? 8O

I've had two cars stolen, a Nissan and an Oldsmobile. They wern't very special, in fact they were junks but I was still pissed off anyway and I dreamed about what I would do to the punks if I caught them. What really irked me is that I worked hard and used my money to buy those cars and some bum disrespected me and took them. In the old west they hanged horsethieves!
