I am use to 062 and 906 castings for 350 vortecs.What size engine is the 69 block. When installing vortec heads on an old shool block you have use a special intake made for this application.Edelbrock makes a performer and an air gap dual plane intake for vortec heads. if you want a high lift cam you have to change your springs on your heads , there are spring kits to get up to.550 lift . You must use stock vortec rockers as they are self aligning . Some guys do not like the center bolt valve covers so there are kits available to put old school valve covers on your vortec heads JJLT1 10-24-2010, 03:38 AM a quick search says there tbi, hd truck/van/marine heads in the 191,193,810 casting group... do they have the vortec intake bolt pattern??:texas: fixitman1 10-24-2010, 03:44 AM Yes they have the vortec Patern/and the person i got them from did say they came of a 350 Truck sounds like i would be better off with a set of regular Heads for a older 350 Maybe some one on CL will trade a set of 882 Heads for these Heads :texas: leogexx 10-24-2010, 10:04 AM 882 heads are just basic grocery getter heads with 76cc chambers they will do nothing for performance which the vortec heads will do with their smaller combustion chamber 58-64 cc leogexx 10-24-2010, 10:11 AM If you are talking about casting numbers 14102191 than those are not true vortec heads they are swirlies which are crap , change to the 461/462 or true votecs casting 906 or 062.
