Where can I find a new, used or reproduction hood for my 1977 El Camino. I just got it, know nothing about restoring, but I know the hood is gonna fly off if I don't get a new one...the hood is rusted at he hinge.

hood from 73-77 Chevelle/El Camino will fit. I had a 74 hood on my 77 Camino. :)

I think I remember seeing someone that actually makes them, give me some time to check around I might be able to locate a vendor for a new one if your intrested. No promises this is a Fourth Generation Elky and they are difficult to find new stuff or Repop stuff for.

After looking around, a lot, I guess I was imagining that I saw a "New" hood for sale. I've looked through every link I have and most these people have supplied and didn't see one. I was intrsted because I would like a new hood also for my 76, its the same hood. Mine had some places and it is slightly bent a issue with these year models and the big trucks.

The hoods are so heavy that if your hinges get a little sticky or hard to operate the first thing that gives is the hood, right about center. I don't let people close my hood for me on my 76 because of that.

Hey thanks for the tip on the bent hood, I have a 77 Elky Classic and the hood is bent about where you stated and the hinges on mine are really stiff. I'm also looking for a hood and back Bumper. any help will be appreciated
