I'm wanting to install some C2 brake calipers on all four corners. Might be overkill but the way traffic is here they can never be too good, esp since I have a slight case of leadfoot.....anyone done this? I know the spindle bore on the front is the same. but how about mounting? and the rear as well. Thanks in advance

Why c2?

the absolute best thing to do, in my opinion is install 98-05 S10 Blazer rear discs, and use the SC&C spindle kit to use C5 or C6 brakes on the front... if money is no object. check out these links.

These can be used on G-bodys and S10's as well

C5 ZO6 Corvette brakes for the front, 2001 Camaro LS1 brakes for the rear. Off the shelf GM parts, and can be done for around $1500. There is some machine work to be done but very doable.

Check out Poltergeist. He has done a very nice job of detailing the instructions and parts needed.

That is on my to do list also.

I'm kinda torn about this upgrade. I know I want better braking, but the cost just seems so astronomically high! I've been dreaming about doing an ATS AFX spindle upgrade on my EC, but those are $1100 by themselves and you still have to buy the C5 brake components to mount on them (rotors, calipers, brackets, and pads). Then, there's the master cylinder too.

The reason for C2 calipers is that I can do it for around 500. I sell auto parts and I have C2 parts on the shelf. I'm just not crazy about 2 piston calipers.
