Hi all I have a 69' ss and I am looking to put a 65' muncie in it. my question is are the shifters and linkages all the same whats differnt? The car is originaly a 4 speed car so I have all the other stuff I just need a shifter. Thanks.

shifter mount may be slightly diff, but not drastically so. should work with no problem, minor tweaking of mounting bracket at most.

There are different shifters, some have rods with nuts for the linkage, some have bolts. Something to look into before purchase

I know some have studs and some have bolts where the shifter arm tabs mount but other than that? they should mount the same right?

You asked if the shifters and linkage were the same, no need for a smart@$$ comment....... yes they should be in the same location, should be no need to modify the tunnel. But i would definatly go wioth an aftermarket shifter, factory muncie shifters are terrible. i run a Hurst myself
