Hey guys im new to the site and I'm looking to buy an El Camino as soon as this Thursday.

Ive already test driven it once (downpouring rain and in the dark) but Im going back to look at it again in the daytime on thursday.

The body is in good condition, but has some minor problems (winshield crack, window rollers, interior, headlights, and minor rust in the bed) but runs great. Its got a new 350 in it and new tranny too.

My only concern is the VIN. I went to to "VIN decoder on this site and the one the seller supplied me doesnt match up with what this sites decoder says on 5th and 6th digits.

Any suggestions? advice?

The 8 and 9 are probably H and A, respectively.
