Just got new window crank knobs, but I need to know the best way to remove the old knobs? Can anybody help???

Thanks,

Mark

They are held on by metal C-clips. Push back the plastic sleve next to the door & you should see them. Just take a scribe or thin screwdriver to pry them off. I got a pair of black ones from a 96 Z24 that worked great for me.

Tommy,

I think he was talking about just the knobs, not the whole handle. I've wondered at times how you get them off myself because mine are getting pretty loose and sloppy ( the knobs, not the handles).

I got some cranks from a later model Gran prix. They were black which is what I was looking for.

I only need a knob for the driver side door. Of course the passenger side is fine, the one I can barely reach :P
Another random question that doesn't really have to do with window knobs. The knob at the end of my gear shift continually comes off. I don't know if it's kosher to just super glue it on there, or if super glue would even work. It's got some holes at the bottom of the knob. It looks like a plus sign in the middle of a circle. Any ideas how I can get that stupid thing to stay on?
