Being old and unemployed I still want to put discs on the 65 elco. If I was wrecking yard shopping, what would be the best donor car that the spindles etc. would fit a 65....any years of camaro, anything after 1972.......It's really hard to fine anything ol,der than 80's-90's cars.
I've heard monte carlo's, Grand nationals, and old chevelles, but there aren't any left on the left coast........I'd appreciate your suggestions
Thanks

Pickings are getting slim indeed.
68-72 GM Abodies
Culass, Lemans, Skylark and of course their musclecar brothers, 442, GTO, Gran Sport.
Must not forget the Chevelle/ElCamino of the same era
Monte Carlo, Gran Prix 70-72.
But with the scarcity of these donors, might be more cost effective to just buy a kit.
It is also possible to get the calipers, a piece at a time, a set of new caliper mounts, and then machine the upper boss on the spindle to accept the mount.
If you have no desire to cut up your original spindles, drum spindles for these cars are still plentiful if you look in the right places.
Everything you need to do this, you can get at your local parts house one piece at a time as finances permit.
Rotors, master cylinders (you will need to upgrade your existing master and buy new lines), calipers, hoses, and maybe even the caliper mounts at you better parts houses
