Looks like things have come full circle. Several years ago all the smaller towns were trying to get rid of cruisers, now everybody's trying to bring 'em back in. Monroe, NC, just SE of Charlotte on Hwy 74 will be having a Cruise In the first Friday of every month from 6-9pm. They join Oakboro with their event on the fourth Friday of every month from 5-9pm. I also understand that there is a gathering on Tuesday evenings in Concord, NC on Hwy 29 at the Burger King, similar to the gathering in Monroe on Wednesdays. Let's get together and meet at some of these places!

My wife said she saw a cruise sign in Monroe for the 15 of May. Do you think this is the same thing you are talking about? I should be able to make that.

I'm not sure what may be happening on the 15th. I had a call from a friend yesterday (Fri., May 7) and he was at the cruise in Monroe that I first posted about. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Just got a lot going on.

I show on the 15 is is called steel on wheels. I will get more info & let yall know.

Well I heard that the steel on wheels show was pretty good, of course I was not able to get there. I really what to make the next Monroe cruise night.

Bobby, DId you make it on the cruise in Friday? I missed another month. The next one should be 2 July. I will try to do that one. We could meet up & do the Oakboro cruise on 24 June.

[B]Hello all, I'm from Ontario Canada. My Dad and i are restoring a 77 right now and then are planning a full frame off of his 74 original... anyways we are looking for random parts and such. We bought the 77 in NC last year along with a 75 (parts car) and we are coming back down in a couple weeks to check out a car show and look for some extra parts.
I was wondering if there was going to be a cruise night between the 14 and 19 of march, and if so, where...

I'm sure the one on NC Hwy 29 in Concord is going on. It's pretty much year round. As far as Oakboro and Monroe are concerned, I haven't heard anything as of late.
