My son needed a car so I let him sort of have it hoping he would finish it and take care of it. WRONG. So after a few fender benders and not taking care of the inside it ended up in the woods not running. So after about 3 years I can't stand it no more, so I will try to finish it and make it look as much as I can like my 78 El Camino.
What hurt so much about it, was that this Rampage was a stored low milage cruck with no rust or dents. It belonged to my brother in laws wife's first husband. After he died of a heart attack they just put it in the shed. When my brother in law and her got married they decided to clean out the shed, but this was in their way. It had been sitting for about 12 years and had around 60xxx miles on it. To me a rare find. It is running again, and should be driving it in the next few weeks.

Haven't seen one of those in a loooong time. Nice.

Did you know about their 2006 concept Rampage?

Paint and interior to match your Elky parked side by side at shows now that would turn some heads.

You dont see many of those. Cool ride. Is it a 2.2 turbo? that would be really neat.

I think the saddest thing is looking at vintage trucks and cars all day and then going out and seeing the modern junk that people drive. This is a great vehicle, man.

So TK. Is the young lad waiting for you to finish so he can put the finishing touches on your work again? Or is he helping you this time. I made mine buy his own cars but helped him work on them.

Thanks for all of the postive feed back.. This time it is just me, no more out side help if you know what I mean. I do not think I could stand to see it "modified" again. I hope to make it look as close to my 78 as I can. I will drive the Rampage daily or bad weather, my 78 other times.

yes it is front wheel drive, and no it is not a turbo. I have a complete turbo 2 set up out of a 89 Shelby Daytona sitting in the garage, but I decided to leave the Rampage as is.
We have built a turbo 2 Sundance using all of the good Shelby parts, and that is the one we play with or I should say my son keeps blowing up. 22+ psi boost works hard
on a engine if everything is just not perfect. Since the Rampage was only made 3 years and only produced around 17xxx of these it might be worth something some day.
