has anyone done a 5 speed conversion and if so can you tell me what is needed i have a 87 caballero and i want to convert it to manual im building a lt1 for it and im putting 4:10 gears in it what tranny wld fit in the caballero

i'm using an f body t-5 with f-body hydraulics with john bdzel clutch pedal the trans is a regular v8 trans with f-body stock clutch and flywheel i have a world class t5 that i still have to go through if you want 4.10 s i would go with a six speed i could not at the time was broke,:smileyb: if you do any highway driving with a 5 speed rpms will be high i'm running 3.42 also ran 3.73 with no problems with the 5speed:smileyb:

I agree with melcamino85 that with 4:10 gears go with the 6 spd if you are doing any highway driving.
