i took the old face and traced it on wood (thin wood) then i was going to use that but at skool they had the colored fiberglass or plexi glass so i just traced onto that it works out fine i did mine in black just wacth how u cut it , its very fragile

I cut mine out. I got one of those kenwoods w/ a removeable faceplate. If you are careful you can do it without it looking tacky. The trick is to be VERY careful when you cut.

Check out Ebay...you may find a "radio delete" face plate there. Then you could cut a hole the size you need. I saw one on Ebay the other day...but I don't know if it's still available.

It's still there...item #2473895649. Ends APR 23 21:54 PDT, currently 0 bids...starting bid is $35.00. Kind of ugly looking, but with a little work, you could probably make it work for you and make it look good (repaint)

Nothin sticks out.its a cd player w/a pull off faceYou'll have to fab something up to fill the gap.

I've been dorking around with mid 90's delco radio's for the last few month's trying to get a some what original looking cd unit. 2000 and newer units won't fit because the the cooling fan and heat sink. Mid 90's will work as long as it's a non Bose unit.

So my solution was to pick up a 10 disk Delco CD changer (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=43948&item=2472019739&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWN%3AIT) that connects via a FM modulator, meaning it connects between the antenna and radio. Just installed it Sunday and it works like a champ. I'll take some pictures this evening if anyone cares to see the set-up.

Why can't you just use the installation kit? Maybe i don't understand the problem, but I have a sony Cd player that was around half the size of the original, and it fits good, came free with the cd player I bought from sounddomain.com, could probably jsut buy the kit on there for around 15. Real easy to use.

i had my JVC cd player installed for me (as im not electronically inclined) he just cut the old one. but i am not happy with it because the new radio was bigger lengthwise so the whole plate it extended at the bottom. i think it is b/c he didnt have the right installation kit. but ive lived with it for about 2 years now.
