: OEM tach connection

I've installed an OEM tach in place of the dash dummy plate in my 1987 Caballero. I understand that a connection is now required between the tach and the coil. I also understand that one of the connection wires, a white wire located close to the brake booster with a provided connector is the place to attach the wire under the hood.

Where does the wire get connected to under the dash? I've also read that an inline condensor is required to help stabilize the tach movement. Is this true?

Thanks

The tach filter is only to suppress radio interference. It's not necessary for tach operation. It has a connector on one end that plugs into the white wire you described. The other end plugs into a connector under the dash near the ALDL connector. There is a picture in this thread.
