How does the trim around the bottom of the rear window come off? I mean the interior trim. It's curved and fairly wide (or high) and runs from side to side.

It has plastic clips that the trim snaps onto ,you can get a trim tool at most autoparts stores such as this.

the interior plastic piece has screws in it that come up from the bottom at about a 45 deg angle. I think there are 4 of them spaced along the width..

I guess I should have read that a little closer ,hardly anyone asks about that part of the interior.
You'll have to remove the corner pieces that the seatbelts come through then remove the screws along the bottom of the piece that goes across under the window,I don't remember if you have to lift up on that piece to remove it or not.

It slides out from under a plastic 1/4" lip that's under the rear window after the screws and moulding are removed. It doesn't take any effort to get it out.
