Quick question: Does anyone know if droping a GM 330/350 Deluxe crate motor in an '81 El Camino (formerly a 267 CU) requires new motor mounts? Any other problems anyone knows of (beside's tranny & rear end type questions). Any info will be helpful.

They're both small block V8's so the 267 mounts should work with the 350 too. Check their condition though. If they're original they may be cracked and need to be replaced.

Thanks. That's what I figured, just didn't know if they made any dramatic changes to the mounting location on the block since '81. I'll be having this done for me by a good shop so I'm sure they'll check the condition of the mounts before they install it (I just want to have as much info as possible before they start).
