I need help in figuring out what is up with either my computer, this site or my ISP. When I attempt to access this site, it will take about three minutes to load the home page. Then it will take just as long to access any other pages. This will go on for the first forty-five minutes I'm on the site. Eventually it will speed up to acceptable levels. This problem is not present at any other sites that I use, but what a pain in the butt the first forty-five minutes on this one! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!..........

I've noticed that some of the pages load slower than "normal" web pages...but with cable..."slow loading" is 3-5 seconds. http://www.websmileys.com/sm/happy/1203.gif

Yes, the site can be slow at times, depending on how many members are logged in. Never had or have heard from other members experiencing the same problem you describe. Slow to me is a few seconds, not several minutes like you have....what kind of connection are you using?

I have a DSL high speed cable and I notice that page loading on this and other sites can really vary. I talked to the cable connection provider and they claim it depends on how busy the net is. Most of the time the site and pages load very quickly but occasionally it drags.

Something happened somewhere. The load time is back to it's normal speed for my dial-up connection. Tonight anyways................
