We have a 82 we put a 383 stroker in and are having trouble getting the Hooker Super Comps past a brake line coming from the combination valve (goes to the passenger front).
Looks like my options are bend it or re-route it.
Any suggestions? Anyone had this problem with headers?
Thanks!!
Frank
never had it but id bend it if possible , it shouldnt be bad unless its rusty.
if you cant move it to far but enough get some heat wrap, or fab a heatsheild , or both.
you dont want to boil your fluid.

I had a similar problem with my 3rd gen Elky. I did (as eze stated) and fabbed a shield and also switched to synthetic brake fluid, it has a much higher boiling point.

I had a problem when installing the headers on my big block, re-routed it on top of the crossmember between the crossmember and oil pan, no issues to date
