I'd be suspicious of a listing like that. How much do you want to be he asks for money in advance to him and not to the store or manufacturer?

A guy was posting about buying quanilties of parts for groups of people, like if ECC members wanted to by , lets say front disk pads for 5th gens, he could give a discount?

Other car related forums that I have been on have put together group buys with interested members who want the same thing. If we have enough interest in a particular part, we may be able to negotiate with a vendor and do that here. Much safer than a CL ad!

Yea you can just call and negotiate with them directly if you really wanna do something like that, only thing is that you need a number of people serious abd committed to buying it

Well... group discount purchases are for real, but usually it needs to be negotiated with the manufacturer or distributor directly.

There's a site - www.gpsuperstore.com (http://www.gpsuperstore.com) where they regularly set up such group purchases. It might be worth it... might not be. I signed up to check out what was there, but haven't laid down any $$ for anything to date.
