Were there any engine id suffix codes that begin with "G" . I haven't found anything starting with that but could be missing something.

My engine is a 1970 350ci. The code reads V0511 _TB. I know it could be a "C" which would be for the 70 z28. But it sure looks like a "G" to me. Any help would be greatly apprectiated. thanks

Look on the passenger side of the block for a machined surface where the head meets the block you should see a series of numbers and then a three letter code, the letter code will or should tell you what engine and possibly the trans that was originally behind it.
If you can get that code maybe we can be a little more precise.

Yes and the only engine I've been able to find With_TB is CTB is supposed to be 400ci from 1972 4bbl auto w/AC
Maybe someone else can come up with more options.

Yea I thought I thought I lost that website and edited it in when I found it, the first part about it being out of a 1972 was out of a Chilton manual and it doesn't list it in 1970 at all thats why I posted the website.
