wow wuss up elky world i jst got my first 5th generation elky and i want to do a motor swap and disc brake upgrade any suggestions for me :nanawrench:

Your 5th gen Elky should already have front discs, so I assume you want to go with a 4 wheel disc setup, and possibly larger rotors up front?

About the motor swap, if you still have the stock SBC 305, then I understand. But there are tons of options ranging from a basic 350, to a 383 stroker, to LS swaps, big blocks, and some on here have even swapped in Buick Grand National turbo powerplants. All are fine, it just depends on the size of your dreams and the size of your wallet.

hi rushgator exactly what i want 4 wheel disc brakes and ive had a 383 stroker in a 84 cutllass 9yrs i would like to do a 396 jst dont no where to start not a gearhead but im learning i get a lot of work done in exchange for paint so im tring to get options and i have a brand new 700r trans waiting to bolt up to some been waiting years for this and im proud to be part of a real truck fam
