My name is Brandon. I'm 15 and I just bought this 1982 El Camino today. It's my first car but I'm the 3rd owner. That's my Gramma with it.

Here's the engine, a 305 that my Dad says wont be there long. it's pretty much original with the air conditioning, smog pump and all other emmision stuff but it's wierd because here in Montana we don't have all that smog stuff like other states. the guy we got it from said he never touched it except for oil changes. it has 65,000 miles on it

The front. I have a couple boxes the guy gave me and a new Chevrolet emblem for the grill is in one

The bed. Dad says it has a couple low spots but otherwise really nice

I can't wait to get started on this. My Dad has an '83 Olds cutlass that he raced up until a couple years ago then just last year he put a '48 IH pickup body on the frame. I helped him with almost all the work and listen real good around the shop when his friends come over. I hope to learn even more here. He's the one that told me to get on a forum first and learn more about it. He's on a Harley one and some car ones and says a person can learn a lot from just reading other peoples ideas.

That's it in a nutshell wish me luck:nanawrench:

Hi Brandon!
You have a great vehicle. The nice thing about is that it hasn't been modified a lot. Modifications can add complexity when you go to work on things. Workshop manuals won't apply and replacement parts won't fit so a good solid stock vehicle will make your life much easier. Chat us whenever you have a problem.

Thanks for the welcom guys.

I do need to change out the wheels. I have 3 original hubcaps and they are really neat but I may be getting these Vectors that were on my Dads Olds

He needs to figure which ones he wants to have on his ride first. It doesn't matter to me.
