The passenger side door latch on my 76 SS gave up the ghost this afternoon. After a lot of fiddling around I got it to stay shut, now I need to figure out what next.

Does anyone know if it's possible or even worth the effort to try and repair the broken one, or is it something that should just be replaced?

If it can be repaired any guidance would be much appreciated.

If replacement is the only or the better option, does anyone know where I might get a new or aftermarket latch? Are there any latches from other GM vehicles that might work if I could find one in the boneyard?

I pick up my daughter from school every afternoon and she's not real excited about the option of climbing in the window. :lol:

I was not able to find new door latches for my 77. I had to resort to the local junk yards.
