When I swap the 350 from my 1973 Camaro for the 305.....(along with a 700r4 tranny)
What if any connections do I need to be concerned with?

i.e. any wires that I need to worry with the new transmission?
Any o2 or other tempature controls that need to be used?

Most I realize will be labeled and either removed or tucked out of the way but I didn't want to remove anything that I would need and end up scratching my head afterwards wondering why I'm having trouble.

Just trying to have everything in place before removing the 305

Thanks all

Jeff

The TCC lockup for the tranny. If you're using the 84 ECM it may not have a connection for the TCC solenoid. I would think that if you got an 85-88 MCSS or a 86-87 V8 Elky ECM they are already programmed for it and you'd just have to run a few wires to the transmission connector.

I assume you're putting your 84 intake, carb, and distributor into the 350?

The 84/85 harness had a wire junction for the lockup.
mine has it. wasn't used at first but now has the lockup in it.
Contact Steve Holmes at

and he will be able to guide you if you need anything to make the 700r4 work.
I'm thinking just the brake pedal switch to take it out of overdrive when you slow down.
Hope this helps

Actually, I was planning on using the entire setup from the 1973 350 motor (carb,dist,..everything as it runs good now ...

Was thinking of removing the computer, and anything else that will no longer be needed, but want to make sure I'm not going to remove something that I shouldn't.??

That's why I was thinking of replacing the th250 tranny...worried it wouldn't last long behind the 350 motor.
